The Portrait Particles Template allows you to create a fun and simple face Lens for a party or event. The template features multiple particle presets that you can add behind the user. For further customization, you can also use your own particles, add a custom message, add a header and footer images, as well as add post effect to add a color filter to your Lens.
The Portrait Particles Controller
To get started, select the
PortraitParticlesController [EDIT_ME] in the
Objects panel. You can adjust its settings in the
Inspector panel to customize your Lens.
Importing Your Own Images
To replace the header or footer with your own image, you can import an image or 2D animation from your computer into the
Resources panel. Select the image (PNG, JPG, or GIF), then drag and drop it into the
Changing the Header and Footer
The Portrait Particles template allows you to configure the images attached to the top and bottom of the screen.
First, select the
PortraitParticlesController [EDIT_ME] object in the Objects panel, then in the Inspector panel, you can change its settings. You can enable or disable the header or footer by toggling the checkbox next to their name.
When enabled, you can assign custom textures to the
Texture field found below their names in the groups labeled
Header Properties and
Footer Properties, respectively.
You can change the Blend mode of the image by changing the
Blend mode drop down.
You can adjust the opacity of the image by changing the

Changing the Text Message

You can enable or disable outline on your text by using the checkbox next to
Outline. Edit the text outline color by selecting and editing the color property.

A custom font can be used for the text as well. You can change the font by changing the Font property to a font you’ve imported into Lens Studio.

Changing the Post Effects
The Portrait Particles template also allows you to add color correction to your Lens using a color look up table. You can
disable this feature by toggling the
Post Effects checkbox.
Lens Studio provides a variety of Color Correction Textures. To import one into your project, in the Resources panel, select
Add New -> Color Correction Texture and choose a texture from the list. Take a look at the Post Effect guide for more information.
To change the color correction texture, change the Texture field in the Post Effect Properties group to one of the color correction textures you imported or added earlier.
